Qidi Tech X-One 2 Design and Features
Let’s get into the design of the Qidi Tech X-One 2. This model is described by many users as a workhorse.
It certainly has some changes and upgrades from the Qidi Tech X-One. This model is housed in a solid aviation quality aluminum frame. It comes complete with a bright blue body and red accents. The red accents are around the door and acrylic covers that serve as windows when installed. Not to mention they cut down on drafts. The new design looks great!
It sports an alloy single nozzle extruder that sports a 0.4mm diameter. There is also a built-in high powered fan that produces circular airflow around the nozzle. This fan leads to increased precision and stability in prints.
We all know how important having a heated build plate can be. The X-One 2 features a heated build plate that is 150x150mm. It can be easily leveled using screw nuts. Not only that, the heating elements in the plate produces a nice even heat. This dramatically cuts down on print deformities.
One of its most notable features is the 3.5-inch color touchscreen. This is a great feature, and we dare say a luxury. Many models on the market feature knobs or buttons and don’t have the same sleek aesthetic. The touch screen makes operating the 3D printer a breeze. With it you have instant access and control to many parameters. The firmware itself currently supports 6 languages
Printing
This is where this model really impressed us. For a modestly priced 3D printer this machine does a fantastic job. Not only that, it’s a fantastic printer for beginners and hobbyists right out of the box. We were blown away by the sheer simplicity in using this machine. From unboxing it to creating our first prints within a short period of time.
The quality of the prints that are possible with this machine is amazing. No matter the size or complexity of the design. The quality remains high through many prints with very few errors or inconsistencies. Each project can be viewed clearly while printing with bright interior lights.
The machine is slightly loud while printing and the cooling fan is also a little loud. But it isn’t unbearable or annoying. When the machine is done printing it beeps a couple times to let you know. It’s just loud enough to hear from a room or two away but not enough to jar you awake in the middle of the night.
Packaging and Assembly
The Qidi Tech X-One 2 comes fully assembled and packed neatly in a large box. On the outside of the box it is clearly labeled as a Qidi Tech printer. The box is separated into a few compartments divided by foam components.

Qidi Tech does an excellent job when it comes to customer support. They offer one on one customer service and they promise to get back in touch with customers within 12 hours.
When they get back in touch with you they have a few different options that they provide depending on the issue. For quick fixes, they will often provide a link to a short video. These videos show you exactly how to perform the action to solve the problem. Other times they will be able to set up a call over the phone or via Skype.
When it comes to faulty or missing parts they provide excellent service. Not only are they very helpful in sending replacement parts they come fast.
