TEVO Nereus Design and Features

The No products found. 3D printer is versatile and lets you print large items much easier. The tall frame towers over the machine giving you an immediate look at the durable construction for this model. The aluminum frame ensures this product is light enough for use on desks and standard work tables.

Sturdy construction

One of the first things you will notice is this printer does not have an enclosure to surround the print surface. The print arm sits in a central position in the middle of the frame to keep the filament right on top of the project. The positioning allows for close and accurate printing.

Convenient features

Sensors that indicate the filament spool is close to empty make sure the user always knows when it is about to run out. The indicator makes the process faster because it gives the user time to prepare the next spool.

The No products found. 3D printer uses a fully digital touch screen making it a snap to operate. A large, black base with an LCD screen that is over three inches wide makes for easy checking when working on multiple projects at once.

The wireless printing capabilities offer more functionality and connectivity to online projects. Knowledgeable printers can also use a USB connection to hook up directly to the computer. One app lets you use the printer from your cell phone making controlling the printer a snap.

Should the power go out, you never have to worry about losing the progress on your project. The TEVO Nereus has an on-board power supply that will keep the printing going smoothly. If the filament runs out, the printer will automatically pause until you load the new spool where it will continue where it left off on its own.

With the heating element in this model, your projects come out more even and the filament prints smoother. Each layer molds to the next because the heated bed keeps the material warm during printing. Layers form in sections between 0.10 and 0.35 millimeters thick making sure the end result conforms to your needs. A magnetic bed also keeps metal items in place during production.

Starting your project means you will only need to wait three minutes to let the extruder nozzle warm up. It will take at least 15 minutes for the print bed to warm up to 80 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature for the heat bed is 110 degrees. You can use the printer at room temperature, but it works best at a nozzle temperature of 180 degrees Celsius to 240 degrees Celsius.

The bed uses an auto-leveling feature that will ensure your final copy comes out even and remains secure the entire time it prints. There are no worries about print objects falling off the bed as the printer works.

A huge advantage of using this printer is the variety of filament types it accepts. Whether you plan to print wood, food-safe products with HIPS, or PLA materials, this printer accepts all these filament types. It will also work with PVA, flexible PLA, and ABS filaments.

Since it automatically senses the end of the spool, you will never have to worry about items showing chunky seams. The printer will power off automatically to prevent failures like these in objects.

At under 70 decibels of sound, this printer is suitable for home or office use. It will not distract your staff or you from working on other things as the equipment creates your model, toy, cartoon character, gift, jewelry, or serving items. The maximum printing speed is 150 millimeters per second.

Packing and assembly

While the printer is not ready to use out of the box, it is easy to put together. There are two main pieces you must join. There are no connections to solder with this 3D printing machine; only a few plugs to attach. There are only 12 screws you must install to assemble this model.

Verdict

In this No products found. review, we find there are numerous reasons to purchase this low-end printer. The model comes nearly ready to use out of the box. A few plugs to connect and screws to place are all you need to set it up. A quick YouTube video shows you how to connect the frame to the print bed and add the adjustment legs.

We like this model because it uses a heated bed to prevent warping. What we do not like is this printer is only a single nozzle printer, so we can only print with one color at a time. If you are new to printing, then this model is an excellent way to get into printing multidimensional objects. Expert printers may like this product because of the large build platform. Since it is easy to assemble, this product is appealing to business owners and hobbyists.
