Design & Features

The No products found. is a sturdy printer with a solid base that can be used with or without the included leveling feet. The feet help maintain stability during the build process along with the improved Z-axis linear rail which minimizes vibrations.

There’s an orange acrylic cover to protect the build during the print curing process. The WiibooxSweetin uses standard UV photo resin with a parallel LED light source through a 2k HD masking screen. The light matrix covers a spot size of .05 mm x .05 mm to produce higher quality prints. This matrix is also designed to prolong the life of the masking screen.

When it comes to leveling, the print bed has to be leveled out of the box. There are four corner tabs about the thinness of the FEP film that assist users in the leveling process which is accessed through the menu. The printer selects each corner and the print bed is adjusted with one of the hexagon wrenches. However, after this first assisted leveling, the automatic leveling feature kicks in for each use after.

Print jobs can be sent to the printer and managed through the touchscreen menu or via Wi-Fi. Not having to be tethered to a machine gives users a lot of freedom to work from just about anywhere so long as the Wi-Fi connection is shared between devices. There’s also a screen lighting test to ensure the LED lights are all operating correctly as to not cause inconsistencies in the build.

Printing

When it comes to the printing process, the WiibooxSweetin UV Photocuring resin 3D printer prints with acute accuracy a few minutes out of the box. It’s as easy as attaching the power cord and flipping the power switch in the back of the printer. The menu lights up where the print settings can be adjusted with a resume print feature in case the resin needs to be refilled or the power gets cut.

Once the bed is leveled; STL, OBJ, and SLC files are sliced in the custom-made ChiTu box slicer and are loaded onto the printer through a USB flash drive.  The port is conveniently located in front of the printer near the touch screen. There are test prints preloaded into the menu to help get you started right away. Builds should be sliced with appropriate support structures as it hangs from the non-heated print bed while rising out of the vat. They can be removed from the plate with a scraper fairly easily once the excess resin has drained.

If speed is a factor, then this WiibooxSweetin review will show you this isn’t the fastest on the market. It prints 30 mm per hour depending on the layer height which has three varying adjustments.

The printer is fairly quiet, but printing with resin requires a well-ventilated area to release the fumes. The WiibooxSweetin prints with finely tuned details with many users finding success with casting and high strength resins. Additional curing time may be needed post-build after the job’s been rinsed in an alcohol solution and the supports removed.

No products found. Pros & Cons

No products found.

No products found.

Pros:

  • A sample bottle of resin is included with the printer
  • The printer is quiet, making it good for offices and workshops
  • Better details and accuracy with prints
  • Prints well with a wide array of 3rd party resins from the standard UV to casting
  • Plug and play printer right out of the box
  • It’s easy to use with automatic leveling that kicks in after the first assisted level when turning the printer on
  • The printer doesn’t have to be tethered to a computer

Cons:

  • Printing with resin is messy and fumes need to be vented
  • The build area is small in comparison to other printers
  • The build speed is slow at 30 mm per hour
  • Additional curing can add to the build completion time, but maybe necessary to strengthen the finished product

Verdict

Overall, this No products found. review finds that there are other photocuring 3D printers that offer more bang for your buck. However, there are plenty of perks that make this printer a contender amongst the competitors. The printer is easy to use without any assembly required. The print bed is removable and only has to be leveled once with the assistance of the menu settings, afterward, it automatically levels the bed for future prints. The included leveling feet also help stabilize the machine.

The print quality is exceptional, but at 30 mm per hour, it had better be. Files can only be accessed from the touchscreen menu. The preloaded prints are available along with whatever jobs are sliced onto the USB drive and then plugged into the machine. The USB port’s position in front of the machine makes for easy access. The consumables are easily replaced and aren’t proprietary.

Other photocuring resin printers below this price range may not include a sample bottle of resin, but many come with a larger build area and faster print speed with the same quality or better. While this type of printer can work in offices where small casts and molds need to be made on the premises, it makes more sense to invest in a faster printer at the same price.
